Does anyone know offhand what the Watchtower teaches about dinosaurs? According to the Society, did humans and dinosaurs exist together before the flood? I don’t have a WT CD to research from, how could I go about getting a CD? I’m currently “studying” with a JW and know he won’t give his own opinion about this question but instead look to the Watchtower for the answers. So I’m curious what he’ll find from his research.

by confusedstudent ini quit my bible study a couple days ago after taking a month or two to work up the guts.
have been getting harassing emails/phone calls blah blah blah.
but i got an email today telling me that an unbelieving spouse can be "sanctified" by his believing mate.

The Watchtower Society has practiced and honed their recruitment tactics for decades. The main reason they aren't upfront about their crazier beliefs to a potential convert is because it would scare them off quickly. So they start subtly, with a friendly Bible(Watchtower Publication) Study. Then they get their hooks in and slowly reel you into the Cult.
Keep posting and reading as much as you can about this group in order to "deprogram" yourself. Going as deep as you did into the recruitment process can be slightly traumatic psychologically.

Can We Please Stop Referring To The Simplified English Watchtower A The Dumbed Down Version
by Philadelphia Ponos ini really shouldn't have to say any of this but as someone who is in the process of learning a second language, i can tell that simple language makes things a lot clearer when you are not familiar with the language.
everyone on here started out reading simplified english while they were learning, including you native speakers.
i'm sure no one here was reading on a college level in elementary school.

avoiding false teachers means "refusing to read their literature, watch tv programs that feature them, examine their web sites, or add comments to their blogs.
(para 7, pg 16).

My Study Conductor Jumped Ship - Any Possible Explanations?
by InterestedOne inmy study conductor has informed me that he & his wife are switching to a foreign language congregation that is far away from the territory they live in (it will involve a lot of driving back & forth).
because he is switching congregations, he said he will not have the energy to devote to my study and recommended another brother who could take over, and i have met him.
however, this change happened simultaneously with a decision i have made.

Does Jehovah really support the preaching work?

i have always wondered why if the work is so important and backed by jehovah, jesus, and the angels why do pioneers, cos, dos and assembly hall overseers and their wives etc.
who are on the front lines get cancer and other debilitating diseases that take them out of the most important work in the so called" last days".
